3D Laser Scanning
Capture Reality with Millimeter Accuracy
Our 3D laser scanning technology captures millions of data points in minutes — delivering precise as-built documentation, point clouds, and BIM-ready models.
Applications
What Is 3D Laser Scanning?
As-Built Documentation
Capture existing conditions of buildings, structures, and infrastructure with millimeter-level accuracy for record drawings.
BIM Integration
Point cloud data processed into Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM platforms for clash detection and design coordination.
Point Cloud Deliverables
Registered, colorized point clouds delivered in RCP, E57, LAS, or other formats compatible with your workflow.
Structural Analysis
Precise measurement of structural elements, deformation monitoring, and comparison against design intent.
Historic Preservation
Non-invasive documentation of historic structures, facades, and interiors for preservation and restoration projects.
Industrial Facilities
Scanning of complex mechanical, piping, and process environments where traditional survey methods are impractical.
Deliverables
What Is 3D Laser Scanning?
- 3D laser scanning (also called LiDAR scanning or reality capture) uses a rotating laser to measure millions of points on a surface in a matter of minutes. The result is a dense "point cloud" — a three-dimensional digital replica of the scanned environment that can be measured, analyzed, and converted into CAD or BIM models.
- This technology is ideal for documenting complex existing conditions, capturing hard-to-reach areas, and producing deliverables that traditional surveying methods cannot match in speed or density. We serve architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers across New Jersey and New York.
Format flexibility
We deliver in RCP, E57, LAS, RCS, or any format your design team requires. Ask us about Revit-ready models.
How It Works
Our Scanning Process
Scope & Planning
We review project requirements, access constraints, and deliverable formats to plan the most efficient scan strategy.
Field Scanning
Our team deploys high-density 3D laser scanners, capturing millions of data points per second from multiple positions.
Registration & Processing
Individual scans are registered into a unified point cloud, cleaned, and processed to the required accuracy and density.
Deliverable Production
Final deliverables — point clouds, 2D drawings, or BIM models — are quality-checked and delivered in your preferred format.
